A few weeks ago Moreno found a black truffle with a really strange particularity……
As you can see from the picture it was of two colors!!!
Obviously it is not salable so we consumed it for us, but it is very useful from the educational point of view.
Observing well, you understand that the different color indicates a different degree of ripeness, so you have in a single copy a direct confrontation that otherwise could be done only with two separate samples.
The white part is not mature, it is difficult to distinguish the veins that are just visible. The mature part instead is recognizable by the dark brown color and wide white veins.
It remains a mystery how something like this could have happened…..
